Quick guide: a zen day in Ubud, Bali

A QUICK GUIDE TO A ZEN DAY IN UBUD, BALI

Get up early as the zen person you are, wear comfortable shoes and get ready to walk. Campuhan Ridge Walk is a pretty light 5 miles hike around the surroundings of Ubud, crossing endless rice fields (like those you imagined while planning this trip to Indonesia). There are small cafes along the way to freshen up with some coconut water or a cold juice, but save you appetite to have lunch at the Sari Organik. This small organic family farm is close to the start (and ending) point of the hike and serves locally produced dishes in a rustic restaurant with an unforgettable view of Ubud's surroundings. The colorful futons and pillows will help you recover your energies for the next goal, the Yoga Barn, an amazing yoga center built in the heart of nature. Get there early and ensure a spot in one of the many classes which take place in three different bamboo structures. In the lovely Balinese style, the bamboo houses are worth the visit even for those not willing to practice. Finish a day of exercise, meditation and contact with nature in one of the best vegan restaurants we've ever been to in Asia, The Seeds of Life. All dishes in the menu are raw, organic, vegan and absolutely delicious! We recommend the lasagna, the zucchini "pasta" and the bruschetta. Finish with a refreshing homemade kombucha and go get some rest!
